What is the Most Cost Effective Way to Work with a Professional Assistant?

The secret to successfully working with a Professional Assistant is for you to identify and delegate ongoing work to us.Create a list of tasks that a Professional Organizer can do for you

If you hire The Professional Assistants with the intention of sending us a number of one-time tasks, this means that you have to constantly take time to give us instructions. This will take too much time … exactly opposite of the desired outcome of having a Professional Assistant!

You want to think about ongoing tasks and projects in order to get the best value for your investment.

When you delegate ongoing work, you only have to train us once, and the task is taken off your plate for good. Our most successful, long-term clients use us for ongoing tasks.

What you choose to delegate to your Professional Assistant is possibly the most important variable in whether it is a cost-effective and time-saving solution for you.

Let’s take a look at identifying different tasks that you can delegate to a Professional Assistant.

List ALL tasks and projects within your business

Don’t just list off the projects you think are good candidates for outsourcing. Don’t just list off the ones you don’t feel like doing yourself. List everything your business does to give you a better understanding of time-wasting chores that keep you from growing your business.

Grab a pen and pad of paper (or use your computer or phone) and create five columns, as shown below.

If I delegate this task, will I feel less stress?

Here are some prompts to help you get everything out of your head.  Make a list of…

  • Recurring tasks
  • One-off tasks
  • Tasks required to get new customers
  • Marketing tasks
  • Administrative tasks
  • Bookkeeping tasks
  • Advertising tasks
  • Neglected tasks
  • Procrastinated tasks
  • Favorite tasks
  • Tasks you hate doing
  • Time-consuming tasks
  • Tasks you’ve planned but haven’t executed
  • Large tasks
  • Small tasks
  • Things you should do but don’t

Determine the Importance of Each Task

Rate each task on your list. If you delegated this task to a Professional Assistant, on a scale of 1 to 10, determine if it will it help you to earn money, help you to save time, and reduce your stress.

For instance, if two of your tasks was to “Find more clients” and “Send out monthly newsletter”, you could rate these tasks as follows…

 Find more clients  10  9  8  27
 Send out monthly newsletter  5  10  8  25

Once you add up these three numbers, you will have a good idea of which items you should begin outsourcing ~ the higher the number, the more you need us.
